"I went to Havana with my camera and came back with something I did not expect. I expected beauty. I did not expect to feel so seen in a place so far from home. The people there carry themselves with a quiet confidence that I knew I had to put into paint. The men, the women, the couples on those streets. None of them were performing for anyone. They were just living, fully and unapologetically. That is what I wanted to capture. That is what I tried to give back." -Linia White
There is a kind of beauty that poverty cannot touch. You find it in the music spilling out of open windows. In the way a woman walks down a cobblestone street like she owns every inch of it. In the colors of buildings that have stood for centuries, faded and magnificent all at once. Havana has that beauty. It is the kind that gets inside you and does not leave.
This collection was born from a trip that changed the way Linia White saw the world. Walking those streets, she encountered a people who had very little by material measure and yet carried themselves with a richness that most of the world cannot buy. The art, the music, the fashion and dignity, woven together into something that felt ancient and electric at the same time.
Each piece in Havana Charm places the people at the center of that world, dressed in the full glory of who they are, surrounded by the color and architecture and life of a city that never apologizes for being exactly what it is.
