Some things cannot be undone. Not distance. Not silence. Not time. Not the weight of everything two people have carried together and apart.
Soul Ties is a collection about the bond between Black men and women that the world has spent centuries trying to sever. Look at the figures. They share the same frame, the same colors, the same space. There is no clean edge where one ends and the other begins. That is the point.
We are unbreakable. Connected at a level that has nothing to do with proximity. Whatever we are moving through, we move through it together, whether we know it or not. There is no separation deep enough to sever what was built at the soul.
